Project ExCEL

Project ExCEL is a part of the CUNY Black Male Initiative (BMI), a CUNY-wide initiative that provides men of color with services and support that contribute to academic and professional success in college. Through mentoring, academic and professional development workshops, participants are provided with a variety of opportunities to foster success. We strive to increase, encourage, and support the inclusion and educational success of underrepresented groups and all interested students, especially African-American and Latino males.

Project ExCEL BMI – Spring 2026 Cultural Night

Project Excel BMI Cultural Night is a relaxed cultural evening taking place on Tuesday, March 31st at 6:00-9:00pm. We will share food, drinks, and traditions from our different backgrounds. You can bring anything you want—cultural dishes, drinks, snacks, or something small to share. Please fill out this form so we can plan the event. This is a great way to unwind before going on Spring Break.

RSVP *We’ll only go forward with the event should we receive enough responses.
